Silver is a noble and very tender metal, it could be damage by shocks and scratches, it could also suffer by natural process of oxidation in contact with skin, leather items, humid climate and thermal areas.
To keep your Civita coins at best as you can, we suggest to wash them frequently with fresh water and neutral soaps.
We strongly suggest you not to put the coins into silver or gold liquid detergents or many other solvent, alcohol or nail vernish remover, otherwise the enamel applied on the writing and drawings could be damage or even disappear.
