The ETHERGRAF® tip "microscopically" scratches the paper, oxidizing it and leaving a light but indelible mark. The common paper, with its porosity, that is the untreated cellulose paper (formed of vegetable fibers joined through a process called "feltration"), is in fact a material that reacts perfectly to the passage of the Ethergraf metal tip.

The presence of adhesives, mineral fillers, dyes or additives in the paper compromises its natural oxidation capacity, with the consequence of not allowing (or only partially) oxidation when the tip is moved into ETHERGRAF®.

That's why the Napkin Forever writing tools do not want to replace the common writing tools in any way, but they go beyond the concept of pure function, transforming itself into the refined design accessory for those who want to always have a story to tell.
